Puerto Galera is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.

According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 21,925 people in 4,424 households. It is the northwestern most municipality in Oriental Mindoro.
Puerto Galera is only three and a half hours away from Manila first by bus to the port at Batangas City and then by boat. Tourists can also take the tourist service called the Sikat, from the City State Tower Hotel in Manila from the Batangas City port to Puerto Galera or Sabang Beach, Mindoro.
Been in White Beach, Puerto Galera last October this year with my Best Friend. I’ll share our experience in going to Puerto.

A.) Transportation:

1) Bus ride

First you need to ride a bus going to Batangas Pier. Their bus schedule is every other hour. Fare is Php 180. 00. It took us about 3-4 hours bus ride from Cubao, Quezon City to Batangas Pier, Makati City to Batangas Pier is cost of PHP 176. A long bus ride indeed.

Tip: Better to take the 4:00 bus ride to avoid traffic and an early arrival to Puerto.

2) Boat ride

Upon your arrival to Batangas Pier you will be approached with a multitude of boat personnel of all sorts. Most of the passengers are having either FSL or Brian. For single journey ticket cost Php 225.00 while the round trip ticket cost Php 400, a Php 50 cheaper in a sense.

Aside from the boat fare you will need to pay an environmental tax worth Php 50 and a Terminal fee of Php 10.

After this you will enter inspection and will wait ffor your boat to arrive.

On board the Boat will take you around 1-2 hours to arrive the White Beach of Puerto Galera.
